Wintersday Patch Notes: What to watch out for!

Guild Wars 2 is downloading the Wintersday patch as I am writing this, whilst I am waiting for it to finish I have decided to post a quick speculative look at the patch notes. There’s a few interesting additions to the game, including an update to the Black Lions Chests, hints on new Wintersday recipes and for those using my Dev Stalking Guide, the hinted changes to hunter kits. It certainly looks promising!

Kits: Engineer kits now inherit the bonuses from currently equipped weapon sigils.
Major Sigil of Water: This item now has the correct proc chance.
Anyone who has read my Guild Wars 2 Stalking Guide will notice that one of the developers had mentioned that this update would bring changes to allow sigils to work with engineers – expect a rise in prices! The update only applies to the major sigil of water, so I am not sure if this is an improvement on the previous

The chest received when the Raving Asura are defeated now contains rare corrupted materials instead of dust.
New rare materials dropped in dungeons, but can you trade them?
