This guide will explain the best way to unlock and get Mamba Mentality and Gym Rat badge in NBA 2K21.
How to unlock the Mamba Mentality badge?
After unlocking the Mamba Mentality badge, players have the ability to change MyPlayer Takeovers after creating a character. So here’s how to unlock the Mamba Mentality Badge:
1).To unlock the Mamba Mentality badge, you must have max MyPlayer badge progress in NBA 2K21.
2). To have max badge progress, you must have acquired all possible upgrades for your MyPlayer character.
3). This will require quite a bit of grinding, but you can also try to speed up this process by completing tasks handed out by NPC characters in The City.
Keep in mind that this badge is only available for the next-generation version of NBA 2K21. The Mamba Mentality badge is not available for the current-gen edition of the game.
How to unlock the Gym Rat badge?
Here, we’ll explain the two ways to unlock and get gym rat in NBA 2K21.
1). Unlock the Gym Rat badge through MyCareer in NBA 2K21
You get the Gym Rat Badge in 2K by winning a Championship in My Career. There are some requirements to doing this, though. You can’t just get sim through games. You have to play a minimum of 40 games regularly before heading into the playoffs and winning the championship. Once you’ve won the championship, you will see that you have Gym Rat AND that you will always have the +4 buff to your physical attributes.
Once you’ve played between 40-45 games, you can then simulate your way to the playoffs, and then you need to win the championship to get the badge.
Considering you’ll need to win the finals to unlock the badge, it may also be a decent idea to practice with your team before the match kicks off. It is important to emphasize that the Gym Rat badge will not unlock if a player loses in the Finals.
There’s a catch you should be aware of, however. The Gym Rat badge you’ll unlock through MyCareer will only be for the player that you earned it with. This means that none of your other characters will be able to use the badge since you didn’t unlock it with them.
2). Unlock the Gym Rat badge by increasing your MyRep progression
The Gym Rat badge that players unlock through MyCareer can only be applied to the character used to obtain it, whereas the one that comes from MyRep Progression can be applied to all characters. As such, you maybe want to use the MyRep process to unlock the Gym Rat badge. Proceed as follows:
This method will require you to reach “Superstar two” on MyRep progression. Players on next-gen consoles, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S, will need to continue the grind until “Superstar three,” though. This undoubtedly requires a significant amount of grinding.
You’ll need to keep playing in the city to increase your MyRep progression, and there’s no easy way to quicken the process.
